Hi im new to fitbit and bought a versa on monday but it keeps saying ive done 8 flights of stairs when all ive done is walked the dogs for half an hour.
Which fitbit counts flights of stairs.
Login transfer fitbit.
I was doing intervals so i was going up and down quite a bit on the incline.
I am also doing physical therapy for broken ankle and yesterday my fitbit force said i did 3 strains.
Once you reach the top of both flights of stairs stop to look at the number counted.
I just got the fitbit charge 3 and am pretty happy with my purchase thus far.
Your device registers 1 floor when you climb about 10 feet or 3 meters.
Put on your tracker and check the number of floors before you begin to walk.
Walk up the 2 flights in a row trying not to stop at any point.
Your device registers one floor when you climb about 10 feet at one time.
I also get that there is likely a certain amount of leeway in this measurement and is not always 100 accurate.
However this morning i ran on my treadmill at a 2 incline.
Now i come to find out it.
When i finished my workout it said that i had climbed 8 flights of stairs.
While i do love the hr functions lol ike the heart beat auto excercise tracking and sleep stages.
It completely baffles me as to why it did not count any floors.
I am fully aware of how the fitbit counts stairs it senses the barometric pressure and counts every 10 of elevation as a flight of stairs.
Fitbit devices don t count floors on stationary exercise equipment such as a stairmaster or treadmill or when you go down a flight of steps.
Thanks in advance.
Each flight of stairs should be at least 10 feet tall.
Fitbit devices that count floors have an altimeter sensor that can detect when you re going up or down in elevation.
Yeah this is completely stupid.
Find a location where you have 2 flights of stairs in a row.
Your device uses changes in barometric pressure combined with the steps you take to calculate floors climbed.
